Job Description
Euronor is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic leadership and oversee all aspects of the company’s operations. The COO will be responsible for driving performance across the entire value chain — from fishing operations through to sales and distribution — ensuring growth, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. This is a key executive role with direct responsibility for delivering operational excellence and supporting the company’s continued expansion. The COO can choose to be based in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France; Cuxhaven, Germany; or Oegstgeest (Leiden), Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute Euronor’s long-term strategy in close collaboration with the General Manager and CFO.
Oversee all core operations, including fishing activities, fleet performance, processing, and supply chain management.
Drive efficiency, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement across all business units.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, sustainability standards, and safety protocols.
Optimise end-to-end logistics from catch to customer delivery.
Financial Oversight
Lead budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring across the organisation.
Ensure strong financial discipline, cost control, and profitability.
Support the Board with accurate financial reporting, analysis, and strategic insights.
Commercial (Sales and Marketing)
Drive revenue growth through strong commercial execution and customer engagement.
Strengthen Euronor’s market position and brand across key European and international markets.
Oversee product development and innovation aligned with market demand and sustainability trends.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Represent Euronor at industry forums, negotiations, and international meetings.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and trust.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience within fisheries, seafood, food production, or a similarly complex, asset-heavy industry.
Strong understanding of fishing operations, quotas, and international regulatory environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated track record in driving operational performance and business growth.
Solid financial acumen and experience managing large-scale budgets.
Experience operating in an international, multi-site environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
